Keep track of London’s summer festivals with CultureLine

With the summer season now in full swing, CultureLine will give Londoners and tourists alike new access to many of London’s most exciting summer festivals.

Many of our partner museums will also be involved in the festivities; the Whitechapel Gallery will be a key venue for a number of Spitalfields Festival contemporary music events in June, and both the Horniman Museum and Geffrye Museum will be celebrating all things dance as part of Big Dance 2010 in July.

The CREATE10 Festival, also starting this week, will see events along the new East London Line, so why not pop into a CultureLine venue en route?

Suggestions include:

On 8 July, various art events will take place at Homerton Hospital in Hackney. Why not also pop into Hackney Museum whilst you’re there, to take in Brain Boxes & Boundless Books:  an exhibiton dedicated to experimental art created over a year by patients from Homerton Hospital’s Neurological Rehabilitation Unit.

Alternatively, if you plan to head to Haggerston Park for talks on the 9 & 10 July, make sure you also visit the Geffrye Museum and take a look around its stunning gardens.

Here’s a list of festivals that should be on your cultural calendar:
